How to Make and Cancel an Appointment
Making an appointment
Starting the 10th of January 2023, we have changed our way of requesting/ booking appointments; we are encouraging our patients to use our new online consulting tool for all medical enquiries. After an online medical enquiry has been completed, A named Triage GP will triage and we will offer a face-to-face appointment or a telephone consultation as clinically indicated.
ONLINE CONSULTING
If this is an urgent request please contact us on our main numbers 01223 845185 or 01223 845185, or ring 999 if life threatening.
Problems booking online appointments?
If there are any problems accessing our online consulting portal, please contact the administration team by telephone on 01223 361611 / 01223 845185
Booking an appointment with the Doctor
If you wish to speak to a doctor or nurse for advice, please Complete an online medical enquiry form.
Each doctor and nurses' appointment is 10 minutes. If you have more than one thing to discuss with the doctor it is important to ask for a longer appointment. We are very sorry when surgeries run late and this is often unavoidable in an emergency. However, if the appropriate appointment is booked delays may be avoided.
Evening and weekend appointments now available to see a Nurse, GP or Health Care Assistant
These are provided to all patients in Cambridge, Ely, Royston and surrounding villages at a local hub. These hubs are at Nuffield Medical Centre Cambridge, Comberton Surgery Cambridge, St May’s Surgery Ely and Royston Health Centre Royston.
These are for routine and non-urgent appointments and can be booked by our Reception team, who will tell you the time, date and venue.
FIND OUT MORE ABOUT EXTENDED ACCESS
Patients are able to be seen within 48 hours for all acute conditions. For all other appointments you are able to pre book up to 8 weeks in advance.
For older patients and patients with complex or long-term conditions
If you are unwell you may be more at risk of quickly becoming more unwell and might be at risk of admission to hospital.
At the early signs of illness please contact the surgery so that a Nurse or Doctor can offer advice to prevent an exacerbation of your symptoms.
